Painting with Plasticine Workshops

Book your free tickets here

Supported by Historic England as part of the North Shields 800 celebrations, this summer Globe Gallery is inviting you to take part in a series of creative workshops, led by artist in residence Kitty McKay.

The workshops are already underway and offer a chance to experiment with Kitty’s unique approach to painting with Plasticine.

You’ll also help shape a collaborative installation made almost entirely from Plasticine and paper, inspired by local stories connected to Hawkeys Lane Lido and the legacy of North Shields born William Harbutt, inventor of Plasticine.

Whether you're an artist, a total beginner, or just fancy doing something creative and hands on, come along and be part of the project.

Everyone’s welcome, come and get creative.

This project has been made possible through the help of the UK Government, Historic England, North Shields 800 and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
