NXS800 is a new iteration of an experimental symphony written by North Shields born music producer Geoff Kirkwood, aka Man Power, and noted musician and orchestral arranger Fiona Brice. The piece features the North Shields Temporary Philharmonic Orchestra, an ensemble of global players formed specifically for this event.

Following on from the fantastic Creatives of North Shields Christmas Collective comes a Summer Solstice celebration. 

Join us at the North Shields Football Club for a day filled with fun, food, and festivities as we celebrate the rich history and vibrant community of North Shields. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with neighbours, enjoy live music, indulge in delicious local cuisine, and participate in various activities for all ages.

Back for its third consecutive year, Picnic in the Park 2025 combines live music, good food, children's activities and more for the whole community, all to support the work of YMCA North Tyneside. This year will feature a children’s fun run around Northumberland Square.

Historic John Dobson designed St Columba’s UR Church on Northumberland Square is holding a Strawberry Fayre in the church hall.
