Art, movement and music workshops for community groups, culminating in the finale event of North Shields 800
Local community groups are invited to join free creative sessions led by our Community Artist, as well as movement and music workshops run by The Creative Seed, as part of the North Shields 800 celebrations.
Together, we’ll explore the town’s past, present, and future through hands-on making, conversation, and shared ideas.
During the workshops, you’ll help create artwork and performance elements that will be showcased in the 12th December community procession, the grand finale of our anniversary year.
Groups who take part will also be invited to join the procession, carrying, displaying, or performing the pieces you’ve helped to create.
No previous art, music, or dance experience is needed - just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.
Workshops will run this autumn at accessible venues across North Shields, and everything you create will become part of the town’s year-long anniversary programme.
