Supported by Historic England as part of the North Shields 800 celebrations, Globe Gallery is inviting you to take part in a series of creative workshops, led by artist in residence Kitty McKay.
You are warmly invited to join a series of hands-on workshops where participants will explore the playful process of painting with Plasticine. Together, you’ll also contribute to a large-scale collaborative installation made almost entirely from Plasticine and paper.
This evolving artwork will celebrate local stories connected to the Hawkeys Lane Lido, while also honouring the legacy of William Harbutt – the North Shields-born inventor of Plasticine.
This project has been made possible through the help of the UK Government, Historic England, North Shields 800 and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
