Fishermen, Retired Fishermen and Fishing Families — Join C Aware for a cancer signs and symptoms event and celebration of their one year anniversary.

On the 16th May 2025, come aboard the Melissa Bus for a free and fun day focused on cancer prevention and health. We’ll have health chats, early cancer screening information, and family activities like lobster pot making and the Human Library.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn more about cancer awareness and take steps toward early detection. It’s a great chance to take care of your health while having fun with your family.

C Aware is a programme funded by Macmillan Cancer Support and delivered by The Fishermen’s Mission. They have been working with the fishing community in North Shields to increase cancer awareness and break down barriers to accessing cancer screening, treatment and support.

No booking required, drop-in between 10-2pm.
