Free Event celebrating North Shields 800 and Northumberland Park’s 140th Anniversary. Wander through the whole park to enjoy BMX bike displays and stalls by the play area, acoustic Music from the Bandstand, and a dancing display by Dance Kaleidoscope.

Plus have a go at bowls on the bowling green, head to the Medieval Garden where you can have a go at making a clay pot, taste food from the past eight centuries, learn about herbs, make masks, set off for a guided nature walk and meet Victorians.

Careful on the events field as apart from the opportunity to learn about the labyrinth, there will be a Viking village providing various displays including battle tactics and weaponry.
